About two hours from Prague, a visit very appreciated by Russian tourists, the very beautiful thermal town Karlovy Vary.
Terezín **
One hour and a half from Prague, you can visit Terezín, an old fortress converted into a concentration camp during the Second World War.
Lidice *
One hour from Prague by bus, you can visit the site of Lidice. This village was completely destroyed by German forces in reprisal for the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich in the late spring of 1942. On June 10, 1942, all men from the village were murdered and the rest of the population were sent to Nazi concentration camps and be killed for most of them.
