A few data about Prague climate
The Czech Republic climate is shared between the continental and the oceanic climate. In other words, it can be very cold in winter and very hot in summer.
- Cold winters : minima are reached in January : temperature can go down to— 20°C. But that is quite rare, teh average is about - 0,5°C. There is nothing more romantic than Prague under snow.
- Hot summers : July is the hottest month in the year : temperature can go up to 35°C, the average is 20°C. The period from May to August is the more rainy in the year: so be prepared for showers!
As a conclusion, the ideal period to visit Prague is from April to September. Recently tourists have discovered Prague charms for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. The most famous places will be as crowdy as in summer.
